Welcome to the TTP Topic Module
Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) is a rare but potentially life-threatening disorder caused by deficiency of a von Willebrand factor–cleaving protease. This module brings together everything you need to know about TTP in one place.
Our Topic Modules are designed as 360-degree, one-stop hubs for hematology diseases—far more comprehensive than what you’ll find in textbooks or standard online references.

Two features set these modules apart:
1. Breadth of Content
We go beyond the core clinical domains of epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment. You’ll also find topics rarely gathered in one place, e.g.:
- History of medicine
 - Eponyms
 - Evolutionary perspectives
 - Comparative physiology
 - Patient narratives
 - Ethical considerations

2. Variety of Formats
Learning isn’t limited to text. We use a multimedia approach that incorporates diverse formats rarely found together in a single resource, including:
- Infographics
 - Podcasts
 - AI-generated explainer videos
 - Expert video lectures
 - Peripheral smears
 - Case studies

In short, our distinctiveness lies across two axes: the breadth of content and the diversity of presentation.
TTP is our first Topic Module. It will serve as the model for future disease-specific modules, as well as modules focused on clinical approaches.
We hope you enjoy exploring this resource—and we welcome your feedback to help us keep improving the learning experience.
