An uncommon disorder in which there is autoimmune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and autoimmune hematolytic anaemia (AIHA) either occurring at the same time, or consecutively. Neutropenia is also a common feature, present in around 55% at presentation. The disease is generally chronic and affects both children and adults. About 50% are secondary to underlying disorder such as SLE or malignancy.
