History
A 52 year-old woman presented to the emergency department having been found down at home. Her family called EMS to do a wellness check when they had not heard from her for 2 days. When they arrived, they found her lying on the floor, awake but confused. They brought her to the hospital, where she was found to be oriented x 3, but unable to provide a detailed history. Her sister states that the patient has been well her whole life with the exception of intermittently heavy vaginal bleeding. She was diagnosed with large fibroids and had a myomectomy in her 20s. There is no other past medical history. Her mother died from ovarian cancer in her 60s. She lives alone, and does not smoke or drink alcohol. She is not taking medications and she has no known drug allergies.
