Anish Sharda

Anish is a physician-scientist with interest in both clinical care as well as basic science of hemostasis and thrombosis. He enjoys caring for patients with non-malignant hematologic disorders, particularly bleeding and clotting disorders. In this context, he has have developed expertise in platelet disorders and venous thromboembolism. His research has focused on vesicular trafficking in the context of granule biogenesis and exocytosis, specifically in platelets and endothelial cells. The essential question of his work is, "how do platelets and endothelium package, store, and release into the circulation the hundreds of secretory proteins that they produce".
