Daniela Hermelin

Daniela Hermelin, MD is Chief Medical Officer of ImpactLife Blood Center. She is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at St. Louis University School of Medicine serving as Co-Course Director for the Introduction to Pathology Course and topics in the Hematology-Oncology curriculum 🩸 She was the recipient of the AABB 2019 President’s Award in recognition of her role as a master educator and leadership in the use of social media, particularly Twitter. Hermelin serves as the Social Media Editor for Transfusion Medicine Reviews Journal, the Associate Editor for Blood Bank Guys Essentials Podcast. She is the Co-Producer of Transfusion News #Blooducation Baristas, serving piping hot transfusion medicine news to a global audience. When not engaged in bloody things, she keeps busy with her husband raising 6 children, ages 8 through 17.
