The thumbnail image for this exercise is Oscar Reutersvard’s (1915-2002) Geometric Composition on a Dark Blue Ground. This is a Tribor or Impossible Object created by the Swedish artist in 1934. It was also used by such artists as Maurits Cornelis Escher and others. It was popularised by Sir Roger Penrose who won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2020.
