What are contraindications for use of desmopressin/DDAVP in a patient with von Willebrand disease (vWD)?

• Type 2B vWD
• Patients with active cardiovascular disease (eg, coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, and peripheral vascular disease)
• Patients at increased risk of thrombosis
• Patients with seizure disorders
• Patients age < 2 years
• Patients with type 1C VWD in the setting of surgery
• Women with preeclampsia
