Rushad Patell

Rushad Patell, MD is an attending hematologist at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Harvard Medical School in Boston. With a long-term goal to become an independent, externally funded physician scientist in the field of benign hematology, with specific expertise in cancer-associated thrombosis, Dr. Patell has led several research endeavors in hematology and more specifically thrombosis-hemostasis. In addition to his interest in caring for patients with hematological conditions, Dr. Patell is passionate about medical education and patient communication. He currently serves as the Associate Program Director for the combined hematology oncology fellowship program at BIDMC and mentors several medical students and house staff.
