Michael Baker

Michael Baker, MD has been a decades-long leader in hematology at the University of Toronto and in Canada. He is former Physician-in-Chief at University Health Network, past president of the National Cancer Institute, recipient of the Order of Canada for his contributions to health care in Canada/research​, and awardee of the Queen Elisabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal. Michael is a highly gifted physician, thought leader, and health care administrator who has had an enduring impact on hematology and medicine in Canada. He is known for his staunch efforts to promote excellence in hematology and hematology training in Canada.
