The humanities case studies are designed to foster reflective thinking and deepen your understanding of the human aspects of medicine. As such, they don’t offer definitive answers but instead invite you to consider the ways that culture, emotion, and identity contribute to how care is delivered and received. The goal is not consensus but thoughtful engagement, and through this engagement, we hope that participants will challenge their assumptions, broaden their perspectives, and grow as healers who recognize the importance of considering the whole patient.
