History

A 25 year-old woman presents to the ER with shortness of breath (SOB) and fever (temp 103˚F). She had been seen by her PCP about 10 days prior for fever, cough, chest pain and headache. She was told she had an ear and throat infection and was given amoxicillin. Over the next week she did not get better and felt even more SOB so she decided to come into the ER. Her past medical history is notable for anxiety, depression and insomnia. There is no family history of hematological conditions. She is a nonsmoker and denies alcohol intake. Her current medications include trazadone and hydralazine. She has no known allergies.. •Or
