Dr J. Mark Sloan is an Associate Professor of Medicine at The Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and a practicing hematologist at Boston Medical Center. Dr Sloan received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine and did his internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. He completed his fellowship in Hematology & Oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Dr Sloan is the Program Director for the heme/onc fellowship at Boston University and is involved with preclinical hematology education at BU Medical School. His research focus is to improvie outcomes in patients with AL amyloidosis and Adult T cell Lymphoma/Leukemia. As a clinical researcher at a safety net hospital, he is an advocate for fair representation of minorities in clinical trials.
